The Villa
|
Villa Sbarrais a 5 bedroom, 18th century country house, modified at the at the beginning of 20th and
offers guests all the home comforts.
Villa Sbarra, has 16 rooms, central heating, 3 open fireplaces, a large kitchen with wood-burning
oven in addition to the normal modern equipment,
a large panoramic terrace, spacious grounds, cellars and a large vegetable garden. There is also
an old church (restored under the supervision of the belle arti organisation) which last year saw the
wedding of the owner's daughter and is also available for your own wedding in Tuscany, Italy.
The Villa is found in the small pituresque village of Gabbiana near Bagnone in the hearth of the Lunigiana,
region of Northern Tuscany, an area rich with history, ancient castles and traditional folklore.

Surrounded by a wide italian style garden, the Villa is a late Liberty style mansion that preserves
the delicacy and feelings of the past. Its warm and painted a fresco bedrooms are furnished with
original furniture and paintings by 900 Leghorn printers. The villa is furnished with all that
you would expect of a family home.
Meals can be taken either in the warm kitchen with fireplace or outside, in the big terrace or in
the garden near a charming old fish pond. In the garden, you can spend time in relaxation
after excursions,read a book or play cards, chess, listen to music and others ammenities.
There is also a big meadow with birchs, an "avenue" (60 m long) with cypresses where
guests can park cars.

Villa Sbarra is the ideal place for having a peaceful and relaxing stay and the right starting point
for excursions and hikes.
The choice is yours to make, explore the hills (on foot if you like) and valleys, or drive half an
hour to the coast at Lerici and Portovenere, the gateway to the Cinque Terre or the marble quarries
at Carrara. Also half an hour away there are the Appenine lakes and the passo del Cerreto,
and you can drive down the coast to Viareggio, Pisa and Lucca in an hour or so.
The rental of the entire villa can be for, say 2 or three families
or a group of friends to a maximum 10 people. If for two families it can be split
into two suites or in what ever way you wish.

Suite 1 ( 3 people + Cot for baby ) Consists of a double bedroom (with space for cot/small bed ), single bedroom, living room with open fireplace,
bathroom with shower and shared use of a large kitchen ( with the second suite, detailed below) .
Suite 2 ( 4 - 7 people ): 2 Double bedrooms, bathroom with shower, living room in tower with
wonderful views of the Apuan Alps (4 people) and Palmaria Island in Gulf of La Spezia. Shared use
of kitchen with suite 1, above). There is also the possibility of using another sitting room
(with fireplace) as well as another bedroom for three children or friends.
